Competition No. 6


'Rainbow' - this photo taken by Pete in the autumn of 2006 is looking north from West Malvern towards Ankerdine Hill (to the right of the rainbow). This month's competition is to guess the date and time the photo was taken. Answers on a Club Pepper & Oz newsletter to team@pepperandoz.co.uk by Tuesday 13 May 2008 - only open to Club Members - to join click the link here.

The winner will receive a complimentary bottle of champagne with their next three course dinner for four at Pepper & Oz. Prize to be used before 13 July 2008.


Competition No. 5

The Lake - Bodensee or Lake Constance - taken from the first floor of the Strand Hotel on the island of Reichenau in Germany looking across the lake to Switzerland! The photo is displayed in the Brasserie and was in September 2006. This monotone photo has been tinted to match the Brasserie, and could be similarly tinted to match your home!

The winner of this competition was Andrea Bunk-Schmidt who was visiting Malvern from Frankfurt! She will receive a complimentary bottle of champagne with her next three course meal for four at Pepper & Oz. Prize to be used before 13 June 2008.


Competition No. 4


The above photo, displayed in Pepper & Oz, is entitled ‘Lasting Impression’ as those of you who have sat on it will know! It was taken in the summer of 2006, but on what day? The winner was Kay Shuard, correct in identifying the day as 21 August 2006 and only 12 minutes out from the correct time of 6:55pm - well done Kay!


Competition No. 3 - The Web!



The famous cobweb photo (incorrectly coloured here) on display at Pepper & Oz and Lyttleton Gallery, nearby down Priory Steps, was taken on a beach on an island in the Baltic Sea in May 2005 with an air temperature of 32°C (90°F)!

The winner is Carol Brook who was spot on! Answers ranged from -4°C to 34°C!


Competition One - Still open!


The framed photograph above taken by Pete last January (2nd January 2007) contains the silouhette of a man standing on North Hill. There's a free two course meal awaiting him when he comes to the Brasserie and a bottle of wine for the first person to identify him! Go for it!

Competition - Two


This is the famous silhouette seen at the rear of the Brasserie. How old is the girl in the picture? (When the picture was taken!)

ANSWER: 39 years (winner - Jenny Fenwick); answers ranged from 14 years to 27 years 8 months!
